Book Review: Lost by Shilpa Suraj
Lost by Shilpa Suraj tells the story of Navy Officer Lieutenant Rahul Jaishankar and journalist Aarushi. This is Book 2 in the In Disgrace series. I enjoyed reading Flawed the first one in the series and was eagerly waiting for the second one.
The first book was good and I loved reading about Vaani and Aditya but I enjoyed reading the second one more than the first one. It is not necessary to read the first to enjoy the second book in the series. But if you love reading age-gap romance then I will highly recommend you to read the first one. The chemistry between Vaani and Aditya is simply amazing to read.
The author has wonderfully plotted two main characters in the story. The story mostly revolved around Rahul and Aarushi.
Aarushi the main heroine is a simple girl who crosses paths with Rahul to take revenge for her best friend who means the world to her. She is simple, lovely, career-oriented, and focused. The way she fights hard for her best friend touched my heart.
Lieutenant Rahul Jaishankar is the hot Navy officer in the story. He is hot, honest, and a caring hero of the story. I love the way he cared for the people around him. He seems like a true gentleman which is something very hard to find these days. He loves eating cheese. He had a past that stopped him from falling in love again.
I love the chemistry between the two main protagonists in the story. The book flows nicely and it was a bit difficult for me to guess the story.
Shilpa Suraj excels in writing painful stories. When love and pain get mixed it seems like an emotional read for the reader. I believe this book is full of love, pain, and a bad situation in which two beautiful people inside-out come together but struggle hard to trust and be with each other.
In this book, the author has thrown light on one of the most important issues that both genders face which is sexual abuse. It was equally difficult for the male to accept it and ask for justice.
This book has love, romance, suspense, emotion, and friendship that keep the reader hooked with the story. I loved everything about this book. If you love reading Indian romances with a hint of suspense and emotion then I will highly recommend you to read Lost by Shilpa Suraj

Aarushi’s best friend Nisha who was married to Lieutenant Aman Rathore for six months tried to commit suicide. When she reached Vizag Military Hospital to find the whereabouts of her friend. She found her happy friend Nisha depressed and sad. When Aarushi confronted her she told her that she married a man who is a rapist and a womaniser.
To take revenge on behalf of her best friend she crossed paths with Lieutenant Rahul Jaishankar by faking herself as Aayaana. He is the best friend of Nisha’s husband Aman. Before she could start her mission she met with an accident.
