The cover of the book is beautiful and has calming vibes.  There were 29 stories written by the author and six were of her students who had enrolled themselves in her writing workshop.

Through this collection of short stories, Rashmi Bansal has tried to define the power of the human mind. While reading this book I discover that our mind works in the right direction in the toughest situations in life.

The author has weaved many fictional stories that took place during COVID-19 times. We all knew that it was a tough time. Many had achieved groundbreaking success while the careers of few people had completely crashed.

The author has also celebrated the unique food culture and tradition of India which people follow in the name of religion but it is proved by scientific research that it provides a healthy body and mind.

I love the humor of the story What They Don’t Teach You at Harvard Business School, and we all know that things that we hardly valued in our routine everyday life were high in demand during COVID-19 times.

The Last Tribe celebrated the uniqueness of the Indian tribe and the way their eating and living habits make them naturally immune to most diseases is something that hardly comes to light. Through this story, the author has highlighted the strength of Indian tribes that lies in their culture and eating habits.

Hum Aapke Hain Kaun is mind-blowing and something we come across every day. This story says nothing is small or big in life, all you need is to enjoy what you are doing in life. Although I don’t want to spill the beans, I must admit just like the main protagonist of this story there is a crorepati rickshawala uncle who lives in our society. The best part is he provides his rickshaw service to us when we are in a hurry to go somewhere during odd hours of the morning or late at night.

I love every story but living in Surat for a long time, Diamonds Are Forever touched my heart. By writing this story Rashmi Bansal has given respect to each woman of Surat who took part in this humble initiative.

Saturday Stories by Rashmi Bansal is set apart from other books because of its simple writing style and easy vocabulary. The author has kept every story short and sweet giving a fair idea about the character and a background story.

There is a barcode at the end of each story. Upon scanning that barcode you can hear Rashmi Bansal’s sweet and calming voice. In every audio, she explained the backstory behind every story and her source of motivation.

I know  COVID-19 times were difficult and people suffer a lot all over the world. But few warriors fought it and saw a new light in a dark time. There were many stories in the book Saturday Stories by Rashmi Bansal that took place during COVID-19 times. There are stories of thieves, diamond merchants, common service class men, and farmers, and the way these people turn their situation upside down to see a light in the darkness is motivating and entertaining.

The simple characters of every story are common people whom most of us have come across on an everyday basis. But,  we never gave a thought and I must say Rashmi Bansal had crafted mind-blowing stories making them heroes in a real sense.

The stories written by the students of Rashmi Bansal’s short-story writing programme are heartwarming, eye-opening, and emotional,

The six stories written by her students were just amazing, fun, inspirational, and mind-blowing. All the stories were crisp and clear and I enjoyed reading them.

I loved the first story And that’s the way the cookie crumbled. The character of Juhi seems like a mirror image of me. I love to lose myself in books with a cup of coffee and hate attending social gatherings.

The Rashmi Bansal had taken inspiration from the real world and built fiction stories that are fun, entertaining, inspirational, and ends with a twist.

This book is a treasure of short stories that keep the reader hooked with the story as the tagline says a twist in the tale is a tale well told that makes every story special.

The stories are interesting enough to keep the reader engaged while the twist at the end is mind-blowing. If you love reading short stories then highly recommend you to read Saturday Stories by Rashmi Bansal.
