Nandini’s Fortune Hunter by Sonam Kandalgaonkar is an emotional read that will take you inside the life of Curvy girl Nandini and workaholic Rudra Rathore. When I came across this book on my Kindle I immediately downloaded and finished it within two days.
This is my first read from the author Sonam Kandalgaonkar. Honestly, I enjoyed reading and looking forward to reading more from the author.
The cover and title of the book are attractive and eye-catching. The author has wonderfully designed the characters, especially the female protagonist of the story.
Nandini is a curvy, jolly, romantic, and good-hearted girl who is full of humor and a teacher by profession. All her near and dear ones loved her and enjoyed being around her. She always wants to do romance like something that is shown in Indian movies.
Rudra Rathore is a workaholic, arrogant, and full of attitude. He loves to control the situation and is hard-working by nature. He does not want to be poor again so he agrees to marry Nandini against his wish.
Mostly the story revolves around the two main characters. All the scenes written by the author are well crafted and I enjoyed reading them. The story flows smoothly at a good pace to keep the reader hooked with the story. The suspense factor and a few twists and turns add colors and spice to the story.
If you enjoy reading Enemy to Lovers then this one is definitely going to keep you awake the whole night till you finish it. The book is full of emotions and a love-hate relationship between the two main protagonists that will force the reader to finish the book in one go.
This is a perfect read for Indian romance book lovers. Apart from a few spelling errors in the editing part I hardly find any flaw in this book.

Book Summary: Nandini’s Fortune Hunter by Sonam Kandalgaonkar
Nandini Rajsinghania was forced to marry Rudra Rathore by her grandfather. Being romantic at heart she does not want to marry a workaholic and rude Rudra. He is working as a general manager at Rajsinghania Group. Since she wants to secure the future of her mother and sister she agreed to the alliance with a heavy heart.
Just like Nandini, Rudra agrees to marry Nandini because his mother blackmailed him. They were poles apart and hardly knew each other. Rudra and his family keep on humiliating Nandini for her curvy figure and often body shame her. She always tolerated them by maintaining a calm demure.
Her husband’s cold nature and continuous humiliation by his family are breaking Nandini with each passing day. Although they consummate their marriage, when it comes to emotional bonding, they are way apart from each other. Initially, Nandini tried hard to work on her marriage but Rudra’s cold behavior towards her never made it possible.
Three years have passed and Nandini is losing her patience with each passing day. One day when Rudra humiliated her very badly, she decided to divorce him and never returned to their mansion. She spent the initial few days crying and started feeling depressed. When her health continued to deteriorate, she approached a doctor and discovered she was pregnant.
Did Rudra apologize for his cold and humiliating behavior?
