‘नाम सरला काम सरल’
The story of Sarala resonates with the life of the most middle-class woman in our country. Each one of us has to fight hard for our rights. Even though most women who contribute their earnings to the house fail to get any help with household chores least they expect when it comes to emotional support.
This is an inspirational story of Sarala who lives in a middle-class family in Allahabad with her in-laws and son Akash. She is a widow and supports her family by working as an accountant. The story moves around Sarla. She always has to fight hard with her loved ones for her rights.
Through this story, the writer has thrown light on the situation of most women in middle-class families. Nobody tries to understand their emotions. Many times, they have to fight hard with their family members for their basic rights. People around them never try to understand them and their emotions. This is what happens in the story with Sarla. Her family members become against her.
The story also shows the wonderful relationship between mother and son. Her son Akash always supports her and understands her. Many times in the story he fights or plays some tricks to convince his grandfather and grandmother of the things he and his mother deserves.
He is also a good boyfriend to Anu. He knows when the situation is going out of hand. He somehow takes the charge on time and convinces her.
Although the story throws light on a very serious issue that has existed in Indian society for centuries, the author has managed to explain it with witty dialogue. The only thing I find missing in the book is that story is very short, I hope the author has given more time to explain the emotions of the protagonist and her bonding with the other characters in the story.
The Hakikat Ka Tukda by Archita Savarnya book is less than 50 pages, the story flows smoothly and keeps the readers engaged in the story. The author has wonderfully sketched all the characters. Although the characters were fictional, they seem completely real. Especially the character of Sarala’s mother-in-law. She is like a typical Indian mother-in-law who blames her daughter-in-law for everything wrong that happens in their family.
If you like reading short fictional stories in Hindi then Hakikat Ka Tukda by Archita Savarnya definitely deserves a chance.

यह कहानी सरला नामक विधवा स्त्री की है. सरला अपने साँस, ससुर और जवान बेटे के साथ इलहाबाद में रहती है. शादी के चार साल बाद उसके पति दिनेश की करंट लगने के कारण मृत्यु हो गई थी. वह एक प्राइवेट कंपनी में नौकरी कर अपने ससुर का घर चलाने में भी मदद करती हैं.
उसके ससुर को सरला के नौकरी करने से आपति हैं. लेकिन अब वे उसे कुछ कहते नहीं, लेकिन साँस ताने मरने का एक भी मौका नहीं छोडती हैं. सरला घर में अकसर अपने हक़ की लड़ाई अपनी चुपी बना कर लडती हैं. उसमे अकसर उसका बेटा भी उसके साथ खड़ा रहता हैं.
उसी हक के लिए इस बार सरला ने अपने प्रियजन पर अपने साँस-ससुर से छुपा कर कोर्ट केस कर दिया. यह बात जब उन दोनों को पता चली तो दोनों एक होकर उस पर केस वापस लेने का दबाव बनाने लगे. इस बार उसके ससुर भी उसका साथ देने को तैयार नहीं थे.
