Bad Girl Gone Wicked by Shilpa Suraj is the third in the Bad Girl Series. This book is full of cricket, love, paparazzi culture, and human emotions. This book unfolds the story of Captain Tara Wadhwa.
The first one Bad Girl Gone Good by Alish Kay is all about party life, the second Bad Girl Gone Rogue by Andaleeb Wajid is all about business and startups, and this book is all about cricket. This book has an energetic vibe and flows at a good pace to keep the readers invested in the book.
Like the other two in the bad girl series, this one also has a female protagonist who is more successful than her hero. This book tells the story of Tara Wadhwa. She is the captain of the Indian women’s cricket team.
I love the character of Tara Wadhwa in the book. She has the charisma of a sportsperson. Unlike other girls, she hates wearing girly clothes and kinds of stuff. But she takes care of her skin and did not hesitate to try different face pack experiments of Inaya. She shares amazing bonds with Aisha and Inaya, the other two members of the bad girl gang.
Tara looks tough from the outside but she is a good-hearted person. She loves her friends and parents selflessly. When her father gave an interview against her, she didn’t say a word to him. When Nikhil and others open their mouths against her father she warns them not to speak a word for her father.
Nikhil, the hero of the book, was appointed by Tara’s coach and mentor to clean her public image. He is her number-one fan. Unfortunately for him, their first meeting turns out to be a mess and her lady love doesn’t think good about him. I loved his character because he is understanding, loving, caring, and knows his job very well.
I truly believe every book taught you something new and I always learned something new from every book. The bad girl series taught me the importance of parenting in life. All three girls and their lovers except Ayaz do not share happy relationships with their one or both parents. Somewhere this affects their both professional and personal life.
The author has very well covered the current day paparazzi culture and the way the media covers all the celebrities’ and sports persons’ lives on an everyday basis. The way these people need to be highly cautious and have to hide their personal lives from media people.
This book has family drama, friendship, energy, and everything that will turn your lazy afternoon into a happy one. I will highly recommend Bad Girl Gone Wicked by Shilpa Suraj to people who love reading romance books.
Book Summary: Bad Girl Gone Wicked by Shilpa Suraj
Tara Wadhwa is the captain of the women’s national cricket team. She had a big fan following and always maintained a good-girl public image. One day when the other two in the bad girl gang canceled their girl night out plan she was left all alone at the club. Trying to relax all by herself she bumped into a stranger and ended up kissing him. Unfortunately, that stranger was a drug dealer.
News of Tara kissing a drug dealer tarnished her image in the public eye. To fix her image Manisha Chibbar, her coach and mentor appoint Nikhil Upadhyay. Nikhil is the brand and image consultant and the best one in the country.
Tara doesn’t like him. She rejects the ideas suggested by him to improve her public image. Nikhil, a die-hard fan of hers, had to work hard to convince the captain to attend parties or to give the interviews, and to wear the clothes suggested by him.
Between these arguments and rejections, they both know they are attracted to each other. With time they both accepted they liked each other and started supporting each other in good and bad times.
Unfortunately, when Tara lost the practice match against Australia, Nikhil tried to console her by hugging him. Someone clicked their pic and circulated it into the media.
