Broken Silence by Suvika is a murder mystery with the age gap romance in the backdrop. This contemporary novel depicts the current-day relationship where age and disability hardly matter when hearts are involved.
The cover and title of the book give the idea that the book is about crime and murder. The author has wonderfully written this book with mind-blowing characters.
Adheer is the main protagonist of the story. He is rough, rude, and carries a never-give-up attitude. The character of Adheer evolves in the story as the story progresses with an eight-year leap. He turns into a rough and goal-chasing CEO from a lover boy.
Kirti is the mute heroine of the story. She never gives dame to her speaking disability and runs a restaurant full of customers. She is the powerful protagonist of the story who never shies away from speaking her heart out.
I love the friendship between Kirti, Pravya, and Mihir. All three are damn lucky to have each other. The best part is they support and protect each other despite any situation. Pravya and Mihir tried hard to protect Kirti and Mihir invested both his heart and brain in catching the criminal to save his mute best friend.
As the story takes place in Surat the author has wonderfully covered the city and food in the book. The story flows smoothly keeping the reader fully engrossed in the story with the crime and romance that flows together in the book. I love the erotic romance between the two protagonists and on the other hand, the murder mystery that remained unsolved for eight years kept me on my heels to finish the book.
It was difficult to predict the story and the climax was mind-blowing. Although Adheer’s chemistry with his first love Riya was less explained. I wish the author had given more detail about Riya and Devesh and why they betrayed Adheer. Yash’s cold behavior towards his twin sister is also something that is least explored in the story.
This is my first book from the author. I enjoyed reading it and in the future love to explore more books written by her.

Book Summary: Broken Silence by Suvika
Adheer Nanda was the heir of the Textile empire LMN Fabrics. He was happily engaged to the love of his life Riya Luthra. He broke his engagement when he discovered Riya cheated on him with his best friend Devesh.
In the evening, he was arrested by police for the murder of Devesh and Riya. Devesh died and Riya was saved but Adheer’s life came upside down as police arrested him for a crime he had never committed. Kirti Malhotra, a 17-year-old girl saved him from the police but tarnished his image once and for all.
After getting betrayed by the people whom he loved wholeheartedly, Adheer left the town and the case remains unsolved.
Now after eight years, he is once again back in town to save the textile company that his father and two partners built with sweat and love.
