Book Summary: Everything I Never Told You by Ajay K Pandey

Everything I Never Told You by Ajay K Pandey is an unputdownable book that is full of love and tells you the struggles of two love birds who are of two different religions. This book is all about the dilemma of one of the main protagonists who fails to take a stand for his choices and years later finds him in the same situation again.

The author has told the story from the perspective of three different protagonists.

Anuj is a seventeen years old son of Manisha and Roshan. His mother passed away three years back but still, he is mourning for her. His relationship with his father crumbled because Soha and Roshan started meeting each other in his absence. He didn’t want his father to marry a Muslim woman.

Roshan is a lawyer by profession and also helps his father in a stationary shop. He is powerful and weak both at a time. I am saying this because mentally he was strong and always stood up for his girlfriend, wife, and son. Emotionally he was a weak person because he never gave importance to his happiness. He let go of Soha for his father for the first time and the second time for his son.

Soha is a gynecologist by profession. She is confident, straightforward, and has full control of her emotions. She has the purest heart and loves Roshan unconditionally.

Anuj’s best friend Gagan and his maasi Alisha continuously add fun and humor to the story through all the stupid kinds of stuff they do in their everyday life. Although few things about Alisha’s character were left unexplained by the author.

Her equation with her sister Manisha and Roshan was not explained in detail. The relationship between Manisha and Anuj as husband and wife seems like a puzzle for me till the end. That is something I find missing in the story.

Through this story, the author has thrown light on the way many couples suffer because of their difference in caste and religion. Just like Roshan and Soha, they have to give up on each other because of family and societal pressure. The author has wonderfully explained the way all four major religions in India are connected.

The story of the book Everything I Never Told You by Ajay K Pandey flows from the nineties to the current day. The growth and development that we all have experienced are wonderfully covered in the story.

The story flows nicely and I never get bored while exploring it. I love everything about the book from title to cover and the way the story flows smoothly uncovering secrets of the past and present. The central message of the book is that every religion spreads the message of oneness, love, and brotherhood and people should not be divided based on the religion they follow.

The author has wonderfully described the father-son relationship. This book is full of emotions, innocence, friendship, and maturity and I will highly recommend you to read Everything I Never Told You by Ajay K Pandey.

Book Review: Everything I Never Told You by Ajay K Pandey

It is not always right or wrong, Roshan. It’s just that sometimes, it is impossible to make people understand… to make them see things from your perspective.

Roshan and Soha were childhood sweethearts and they love each other whole-heartedly. When they grew up Roshan’s parents didn’t allow him to marry Soha because she was a Muslim.

To fulfill the wish of his parents Roshan married Manisha. When Anuj was born his definition of love changed and he became a dedicated husband and loving father. When Anuj turned fourteen Manisha passed away after battling with cancer for a long time.

To help Roshan to cope with the loss Soha again enters his life. This time Roshan does not want to lose her again but his son Anuj does not want her as his step-mother.

Manisha’s sister Alisha supports Anuj and is always bad-mouthed about Soha. One day when Anuj came back from school he found Roshan and Soha enjoying coffee. He did not take all this positively and packed all his stuff and left the house.

Will Roshan and Soha come together?

Will Anuj and Roshan get a chance to mend their relationship?

To know more about Anuj, Roshan, And Soha read Everything I Never Told You by Ajay K Pandey.
