Book Review: Fix My Heart by Madhuri Tamse

Fix My Heart by Madhuri Tamse revolves around two people who were best friends in the past. This book depicts the pain and heartbreak of Rohan and the confusion and dilemma of Ishika about her changed feelings for her best friend.

While reading this book I felt like I was watching Indian Bollywood movies like Kuch Kuch Hota Hein, Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi, and many more. The only difference is that the two main protagonists come together due to their common interests in fancy cars and car racing which is very difficult in any Bollywood movie.

Ishika Bhatia is the strong female protagonist of the story who is a jewellery designer by profession and a car racer by passion. She is professional, introverted, and hates socializing.

She is passionate about vintage jewellery and car racing. The character of Ishika grows as the story progresses. I personally feel Ishika outshines the male protagonist Rohan Oberoi.

Rohan Oberoi is a businessman who is head over heels in love with his best friend Ishika. She friend-zoned him and broke their friendship for Sunny Bindra and his heart breaks into a thousand pieces. After ten years his heart still beats for Ishika.

There are other side characters like Avantika, Sunny, Vansh, Vidhi, and a few more. But they had played a very limited part. The story revolves around Ishq and Ron. This book is more about true friendship which most of us crave and hard to find in life.

The story of the book Fix My Heart by Madhuri Tamse keeps on jumping between past and present but while reading I never felt any confusion.

The book moves at a good pace and is full of love and friendship. The slow-burning romance and misunderstandings of the past between the two main protagonists were enough to keep me glued to the story.

This is a good book and the story flows nicely but I find the suspense element was comparatively less than expected by me. Honestly, I enjoyed reading The Gamble and Maze more than this one.

This book has cars, true love, friendship, and a love triangle that will keep you hooked. If you love reading pure romance novels based on friendship then I will highly recommend you to read Fix My Heart by Madhuri Tamse.
