His Just Desserts by Andaleeb Wajid is a contemporary romance book that tells the story of Rumana and Daniyal who run food joints next to each other. After reading Bad Girl Gone Rogue by Andaleeb Wajid I just want to explore more books written by her.
While scrolling on my Kindle device I came across this book. I find the title of the book very interesting and the best part is this book is available free to read on a Kindle Unlimited subscription.
Rumana is the heroine of the story. She is an impulsive, unorganized, messy, and emotional person. Like me, she also loves her Kindle. She is very serious about her café and loves cooking her grandma’s recipe. She never bothers about her looks, or dressing and is a free bird.
Niharika is a best friend and partner of Rumana. I love her character and I believe Rumana is lucky to have her in her life. She knows Rumana very well. Niharika is the one who knows from the start that something is brewing between the two main protagonists. She is calm and knows her job very well.
Daniyal is the hero of the book. He is a well-trained cook who knows his job very well. He can impress any girl with his looks, smile, charm, and his culinary skills. I love the character of Daniyal because he is calm and composed and has full control over his emotions and job.
The story and the characters match with the real world. Just like Niharika and Rumana more and more youngsters are leaving their corporate jobs to follow their passion. The story flows smoothly and keeps the readers invested by introducing different mouthwatering desserts from time to time. The chemistry between the two main protagonists is amazing.
I love the book inside out. This book is full of fun, banter, love, and sweets. I even ate a big chocolate while reading it. This book will definitely help you relax your mind and transfer you into the world of desserts. Book Summary: His Just Desserts by Andaleeb Wajid
Rumana and Niharika left their corporate jobs to start a café. They were struggling hard to keep it running. Rumana is also pressured at home by her parents to get married instead of focusing on café. When Vinod their helper at the café came with a flyer of Daniyal Patisserie opening next door, Rumana considers it as their competition.
To close down Daniyal’s Patisserie, she threw garbage on his Audi, release rats into the store room of his café to destroy all his ingredients, and also mixed cornflour in all-purpose flour and baking soda.
Daniyal was so much in love with Rumana that he neglected all these and kept his focus on impressing her. But his assistant Amit didn’t take it lightly. He locked Rumana in the bathroom in her café and ran away.
When Daniyal discovers about it, he runs to save her. This action of his stole her heart. When Daniyal and Rumana were exploring each other, Amit came back and opened the door. Rumana felt embarrassed and cheated. She thought Daniyal had done all this to take revenge on her. So she broke all ties with Daniyal.
