कहानी भारत के सबसे खूबसूरत शहर बनारस में १० अक्टूबर २०१० में शुरू होती है. सुदीप यादव जो बहुत बड़ी कंपनी बुक माय ट्रिप डॉट कॉम का फाउंडर है. उसके ट्विटर पर ५० लाख फ़ॉलोवर है. वह अपनी व्यस्त जीवन से परेशान होकर कुछ दिन ब्रेक लेने बनारस आता है.
एक पिज़्ज़ेरिया में भीड़ के कारण वेटर उसे चित्रा पाठक के सामने एक ही टेबल पर बैठा देता है. कुछ देर तक हिचकने के बाद दोनों एक दूसरे से बात करने की शुरुआत करते हैं. चित्रा एक २६-२७ साल की आम लड़की हैं. जिसका दो साल पहले तलाक हो चुका है.
