Book Review: The Unwanted Wife by Anamika GK
The Unwanted Wife by Anamika GK is a love-hate story of Uday Rajvansh and Niyati. The story flows smoothly and at a fast pace.
When I came across this title I felt it was another hate, love, and then hero and heroine falling in love with each other type of story. Although the background of the plot is the same, it is a different story set up in Rajasthan. The story has well-developed characters that match with real life.
The main heroine of the story, Niyati Mishra is an orphan. She is a stubborn heroine full of insecurities and hungry for love. Everyone around her likes and respects her. Being an orphan who received everything through a charity she finds it difficult to believe her fate when love comes to her from all directions.
The hero of the story Uday Rajvansh who is an eminent politician who belongs to the royal family of Rajasthan is the one who evolved in the story but without losing his integrity. The hero of the story has that energy and bossy spark that will separate him from the rest of the characters in the story. I am sure every other girl will cherish a husband like Uday Singh Rajvansh.
Kaveri Devi, the mother of Uday is the one character who had all the characteristics of a real queen. She always controls the situation and keeps her arrogant, intelligent, and kind-hearted son on the grounds when he fails to act smartly and flow away with emotion.
There are many other characters like Palash, Vaibhavi, Antony D’Silva, Raghav, and Gulal Singh who come, play their part, and go away.
The descriptive storyline, humble characters, and continuous twists and turns kept me hooked on it till the end. The story takes place in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The author Anamika GK has used many regional words that are used by the local people in the book. She has also given justice to local Rajasthani food, culture, and places. This is a well-researched book. Apart from a few editing errors I didn’t find any flaws in the story.
If you are a fan of age-gap romance with a bossy hero then I will highly recommend you to read The Unwanted Wife by Anamika GK.
