Book Review: This Changes Everything by Andaleeb Wajid
This Changes Everything by Andaleeb Wajid is Book Number One in The Khan Sisters Trilogy. The main theme of the book is teenage love and heartbreak.
I am a fan of Andaleeb Wajid’s books and when I came across this book on my Kindle, I immediately downloaded it and started reading it. The cover of the book is interesting and gives justice to the story.
The story is narrated by the female protagonist Alina. She works as a chemistry teacher at one of the best schools in Bangalore. She loves chemistry but hates her job. She is lovely, good-hearted, and loves reading books. She is dating Dr Arham Ali but is confused about her feelings for him.
Rohaan Ali is the male protagonist of the story. He acts cool and happy from the outside but inside he is in deep pain. He is the author of the book Butterfly of Lights and has been nominated for several awards.
The author wonderfully describes family bonding in the story. Alina shares a very warm and friendly relationship with her two younger sisters Amna and Aliya. The sisters’ care, banters, and love for each other is heartwarming. Their mother is like every other Indian mother who is open-minded but when it comes to marriage, she wants her daughters to get married at the right age.
The author has used simple language to tell this amazing story of school love. The suspense is maintained till the end which makes the book unputdownable and intriguing. The school and family scenarios portrayed by the author seem real.
I enjoyed reading this book that begins with high school romance followed by separation and ends with workplace romance. This is a perfect enemy to lover read set in the backdrop of school as a workplace. I loved this book and eagerly waiting to read the next books in the Khan sisters series.
This story is nostalgic, emotional, spicy, cute, and full of fun. I love everything about the book and highly recommend you to read This Changes Everything by Andaleeb Wajid.
