This Means Love by Andaleeb Wajid is a fake engagement forbidden romance book in the series The Khan Sisters Trilogy Book 2. The main story of the book is based on the pressure of marriage on girls, disputed property, the last wish of grandma, and forbidden love that turns into a fake engagement.
After reading This Changes Everything the first one in the series. I was eagerly waiting for the second one in the khan sisters series. Most of the characters are the same except for a few new ones. This is the story of middle sister Aliya Khan and her boss Jamal Ahmed.
Aliya is a middle sister who is calm and a people-pleaser by nature. She is a beautiful girl and holds a stable job. After her elder sister Alina got married, her mother and intruding aunt are now pressuring her for marriage. She wants to escape from the unworthy proposals that her aunt Samira is suggesting now and then.
Jamal is the handsome male protagonist and CEO of the company. He is tough on the outside, emotional, and caring from the inside. He wants to protect her grandma’s home from his cousin Nadeem who wants to convert it into a commercial complex. To save that home he had to fulfill the one weird last wish of his grandma who was taking the last breaths of her life.
The dilemma of Jamal and Aliya makes this book a rollercoaster ride for a reader. The parts played by Alina and Rohaan, the main protagonist from the first one, are heart-warming.
Jamal’s cousin Nadeem and his beautiful ex-girlfriend Iram are continuously creating trouble in the love story. This is something that makes this book unputdownable and interesting. Now I am eagerly waiting for the third one in the series.
I am a great fan of Andaleeb Wajid and love her books. Like all her books this one is an interesting love story with a brilliant chemistry between two main protagonists. The story flows nicely and moves forward at a good pace.
I love everything about the book but felt a little disappointed in the end. Since I was expecting some more twists or suspense but the story comes to an end. Otherwise, it’s a great read for all romance lovers.
The instant attraction, fake proposal, and hot romance between Jamal and Aliya make this book worth reading. If you love reading forbidden romance books then I will highly recommend you to read This Means Love by Andaleeb Wajid.
Book Summary: This Means Love by Andaleeb Wajid
Jamal is the CEO of the company and Aliya Khan is his employee. Jamal wants to save his disputed family home and Aliya wants to temporarily escape from all the unwanted proposals that Samira Phuppu is proposing now and then.
When Jamal overheard Aliya talking to her sister Alina about the proposal, he came up with the idea of a fake engagement. When he proposed his plan to Aliya she agreed with it to escape from unwanted proposals.
The worst part is Jamal is Arham’s elder brother whose proposal Aliya’s elder sister Alina rejected just before the engagement.
What will happen when Aliya discovers the real reason for the fake engagement that Jamal was hiding?
