Book Review: Bad Girl Gone Rogue by Andaleeb Wajid

Bad Girl Gone Rogue by Andaleeb Wajid is a story of finding true love, and friendship, fighting social norms while maintaining dignity and self-esteem. This is the second book in the bad girl series.

The first one was good but this is the best. I enjoyed reading this book till the end. Inaya Khan is the main protagonist of the story.  She was always compared with her sister Ismat Aapa by her mother. Her mother and relatives always tease her for being a little fat. Her elder sister is always cherished by her parents because she married a rich guy at the right age and became the mother of two cute girls.

All these comparisons made Inaya Khan a rebellious girl who always refuses to follow the social norms of society.

Ayaz is the hot hero in the book who was struggling with his start-up. Keeping his business issues aside he agreed to meet Inaya and continue to give a chance to their relationship. I find Ayaz more mature than Inaya who always tried his level best to continue their relationship.

He is the one who has more trust in their love and keeping his male ego aside he took all the steps to convince Inaya and her friends that he is the best for her.

Being a Muslim and Unmarried at twenty-seven was the reason Inaya and her parents are always questioned by society. In such a situation she always received support from her friends Tara Wadhwa and Aisha Rajput. Aisha’s story is in the book Bad Girl Gone Good by Alish Kay. Both friends are just one call away from Inaya. Whenever she is in trouble, she goes to two of them. This is something that we all want in our life.

The author also showed the importance of family support in life that Inaya didn’t receive from her family. The author also exchanged the gender role in the book. Inaya was more successful than Ayaz. But, the way Ayaz kept his male ego aside for being with her is something that touched my heart. I believe this is something that is needed at the time.

The author explains the marriage pressure faced by successful girls like Inaya in the Muslim community. Nobody values their financial success.

I enjoyed reading this book. Now I am looking forward to reading Bad Girl Gone Wicked, the third book in the bad girls series.

The story flows smoothly with well-developed characters that seem real. The author used simple language and the story moves at a fast pace. I never felt bored while reading this book. This book is full of fun and drama. If you like reading a book that tells the story of a beautiful successful female protagonist then I will highly recommend you to read Bad Girl Gone Rogue by Andaleeb Wajid.
