Book Review: Four Days of Magic by Pratik Deshmukh
Four Days of Magic by Pratik Deshmukh is an amazing book that will give you a glimpse into the life of an Instagram influencer. The things that look attractive and amazing from the outside can turn your life upside down.
I love the title and cover of the book. Both match the storyline and plot in the book. Honestly, it is the title and cover that push me to read this book. The author had wonderfully framed the characters of this book.
The book starts just like a Bollywood movie scene where the heroine was woken by her mother with a cup of tea and her favorite breakfast. Sana the heroine whose room was in a complete mess and she has to catch the flight to Italy. Sana is going to Italy to attend the destination wedding of her best friend Anjali. Her mother wants her to find a perfect groom for the wedding.
Sana met Luca. Brandi, and Udai in Italy. They helped her to heal and rejuvenate on her solo trip. Out of all three Udai is one character who touched my heart.
Udai, the prince of Jaisinghgarh seems like a very interesting character. I feel Sana is lucky to meet a real prince in Italy. He seems sorted, mature, well-mannered, and full of wisdom.
The author had given a good glimpse of culture, food, and life in Italy through this story. After reading this book now I personally want to visit Italy once. This is a good book and I really enjoyed reading it.
The story flows at a good pace and is entertaining. As the story progresses problems start turning into solutions and the main protagonist starts looking at life with a new perspective. The story of the book is unpredictable and the unexpected twist at the end is the master stroke. But the story comes to an end abruptly, just like most web series this is something that left me unsatisfactory. I was expecting more in the end.
Otherwise, it is a mood-lifter book that is full of wisdom. The author has shared lots of side effects of social media, how taking a break will help you clear all the clutter. First-time author Pratik Deshmukh’s debut book is an eye-opener for people who run behind social media blindly without caring for others and their own feelings.
If you love reading contemporary fiction then I will highly recommend you to read Four Days of Magic by Pratik Deshmukh.
