Book Review: The Gamble by Madhuri Tamse
The Gamble by Madhuri Tamse is all about love, emotions, dirty politics, and family enmity. The hot and intelligent hero and beautiful and strong heroine make this book a roller coaster ride for the readers. This is the first one in the series political romance trilogy.
The cover of the book matches the story of the book. The author has wonderfully designed all the characters in the book The Gamble by Madhuri Tamse.
Meher is the bold and beautiful daughter of Deputy Chief Minister Pratap Walia. She is so much more than people can judge and their hearts can feel.
Ayaan Shergill is the handsome and heart-throbbing intelligent hero of the book. His love for his father stole my heart. He is someone who respects other people and stands strongly against corrupt practices. He is just like his father whose heart is full of love and respect for others.
He even saves his father’s enemy’s daughter and falls in love with him. The best part is he loves playing chess. He does his work with perfection and never leaves any room for mistakes. He is always alert and thinks way ahead before his enemies.
Devika is Meher’s cousin’s wife and her Bhabhi. She is more than a friend to Meher. She loves her unconditionally and protects and saves her from the anger of his father and brother.
Pratap Walia, the deputy chief minister, is the father of Meher. He loves his daughter unconditionally and does everything to protect her but he fails to reach his daughter’s heart because of his dominating and overprotective nature.
Vishnu is Meher’s father’s bodyguard and Aks is her cousin’s brother. Both these characters are rude by nature and are always worried for her safety.
Kailash Shergill is the father of Ayaan. He is a good-hearted man who loves his country and her son unconditionally.
Ayaan and Meher tried hard to stay away from each other and to control their love hormones but fortunately or unfortunately they kept crossing paths with each other. At times Ayaan saves Meher and other times he ruins her plan to break her marriage with Niraj is all fun to read.
The way Ayaan compares people with chess pieces like king, queen, rook, and knight is fun to read. Well-written inner talks of both protagonists define their raw and pure emotions.
The story of the book The Gamble by Madhuri Tamse flows smoothly keeping the readers engaged in the love of Ayaan and Meher and the political rivalry of the Sherill and Walia family.
The author has used simple language to write this engrossing book. Family enmity, dirty politics, and deadly attraction make this book a very captivating read. The story of the book The Gamble by Madhuri Tamse was unpredictable and the climax was simply unexpected.
I love everything about the book but Meher’s relationship with her cousin’s brother was least explained by the author. I find the character of Vishnu way more overprotective towards Meher. Just like Ayaan I too feel there are more hidden layers behind the innocent and honest personality of Vishnu. I hope to read more about both of them in the second book The Maze.
Overall, it is a great book and I never feel bored while reading it. I will highly recommend you to read The Gamble by Madhuri Tamse if you love indulging in romance novels.
