Book Review: You Are the Best Friend by Ajay K Pandey
You Are the Best Friend by Ajay K Pandey throws light on the mental health of the person after losing a loved one. Mental health is something that is more important and should be equally taken care of just like our physical health.
After reading Her Last Wish and Everything I Never Told You, I became a fan of Ajay K Pandey. So when I came across this newly released book I immediately downloaded it and started reading it.
This book is a sequel to You Are the Best Wife. In the first book, he shared the love story of him and Bhavna and her untimely death after fighting a fatal disease. This one tells the story of Ajay after the death of his wife.
After reading the situation of Ajay I felt like everyone deals with death differently. Some get very emotional, and others prefer to keep a smile on their face to respect the soul that passed away.
Ajay’s love for his wife is so immortal that he doesn’t move an inch. He loved her things and clothes and many times wore them in public without any hesitation. The author bravely expressed the emotions of a man after the death of his wife.
Most men keep a brave face in front of the world and try to hide their sorrow. But Ajay didn’t do that. Everyone close to him knew that he had not moved on after the death of his wife. He never tried to hide his love and sorrows from the world.
Anisha is a happy-go-lucky type of girl. She enjoys her life. She was shocked when she came to know Ajay hates God. But, his kind gesture towards the old woman is something that touched her heart. She was confused between Ajay’s gesture and thoughts.
On one side he was kind-hearted but on the other side, he hated God. To clear her confusion she started approaching Ajay, even when he was not interested in sharing his sorrows.
She kept on pushing Ajay when he was least interested in developing any friendship. With time Ajay started opening up with her and within a few days, they became good friends.
This book is based on the importance of friendship in life irrespective of gender. The cover of the book is very beautiful and just like its title gives full justice to the flow of the story. The story flows at a good pace and the author uses simple vocabulary with lots of emotions to keep the readers hooked to the story. The book is full of motivational quotes.
This book gives hope that there is more in life after losing your partner or loved ones. If you love reading books based on friendships then I will highly recommend you to read You Are the Best Friend by Ajay K Pandey.
