Book Review: Treading Around Love by Ruchi Chandra Verma

Treading Around Love by Ruchi Chandra Verma is book 3 in the Ishq Wala Love series. I was eagerly waiting for the third one after reading the first two books in the series. I must say that in this third book, the author has outdone herself with this story.

The first book Stalking My Love seems more like a fairytale romance, the second book Dodging Your Love is an age-gap romance and the third one is a mature romance where both the protagonists take time to accept their feelings for each other.

The cover of the book is beautiful and the title gives full justice to the plot of the story. The author had wonderfully crafted the strong and silent male and female protagonist of the story.

Naman Vohra is one of the best criminal lawyers in the country. He is an introvert and is in love with a girl he cannot have. He has been in one-sided love with Deeksha for a long time. He never shared his feelings with anyone and always supported his love from a distance. He never tried to separate Deeksha from her cheating and abusive husband. Naman Vora is a true gentleman who always respects and protects women.

Deeksha has been married to Rajveer for the last ten years. She had dedicated her life to the happiness of her husband’s family. She is not happy in her married life and is regularly abused by her husband and mother-in-law. She never shared her problems with her two younger sisters. She is very soft and caring unlike her two younger sisters Trisha and Anaisha.

The friendship between Naman, Viraj, and Shlok has grown many folds. The author celebrates sisterhood, friendship, and love in this book.

Naman saw Deeksha’s heart, not her burnt face and this is something that touched my heart. He never forced her to go for plastic surgery and accepted her burnt marks, which is something that makes this story special and close to my heart.

This is a mature kind of love story that took its time to come to light and bloom before reaching its final destination.  Through this story, the author highlights the fact that accepting each other’s past and flaws will only give you true love in life.

I wish to read more about the fate of Deeksha’s cruel mother-in-law and her unfaithful husband. Apart from a few editing errors I didn’t find any flaws in the book. The story completely met my expectations.

Through this story, the author throws light on sensitive topics like domestic abuse, attempted suicide, false allegations, and betrayal in marriage. The story teaches a lesson never accept verbal and physical abuse in any relationship.

This book is full of friendship, love, romance, and sisterhood. If you love reading contemporary romance novels then I will highly recommend you to read Treading Around Love by Ruchi Chandra Verma.
